Leading with Love

For rising 10th graders, this is the summer they have pictured since their first color war cheer. Leadership and Mitzvah invites campers to step up as the role models and mentors they were meant to be.

These programs are the proud finish to the camper journey and a springboard into leadership, community, and real-world impact.

Making a Difference

Leadership and Mitzvah participants set the tone for the whole community. They cheer the loudest at Maccabiah and Pioneer Day, help where they are needed, and lead by example in every activity, song session, and challenge. Through hands-on learning and discussion, teens explore big ideas, from identity and inclusion to social action and what it means to make a difference.

Projects That Matter

Campers dive into meaningful projects that connect Jewish values to real-world impact. Together they brainstorm, build, and bring to life initiatives that strengthen their community, both at camp and back home. Each moment helps them see how one person’s spark can ignite lasting change.

The Three-Day Hike

Every year, the highlight of the program is a three-day hike filled with adventure, reflection, and unforgettable bonding. Campers learn resilience, teamwork, and self-discovery as they navigate the trail and return with stronger friendships, steadier confidence, and memories that burn bright long after the last campfire.

A Tradition of Pride

For decades, Leadership and Mitzvah have been the proud traditions campers look forward to from the moment they step off the bus for the first time. That Leadership/Mitzvah sweatshirt they’ve always wanted to earn? It’s a badge of belonging, purpose, and pride.
